I have see a lot of filter issues lately. Filters going bad after just a few weeks, filters not fitting, filters causing the filter housing to break, and more. Almost all of these customers had bought their filters on Amazon, usually at a much lower price than at a local store. I examined a few that appeared to be OEM but found they were not. Then I came across this article. Apparently, there are tons of FAKES coming in from overseas.
If your filter is usually $50 and you see a link for 3 for $60 on Amazon, I can guarantee they are NOT original filters. I recommend getting the filters from a local store so you know they are the right ones and will filter your water without damaging your fridge.
