In 2011 I started Steve Slaton Appliance Repair with a toolbox and a used 1997 Ford Ranger that had about 100,000 miles on it. I drove that truck everywhere. By the time I traded it in, it had more than 240,000 miles. In early 2017 I bought what we now call the “original van” and that is when things really started to pick up.
This week that van crossed 200,000 miles. It has seen a lot of appliance repair calls. It has been on driveways and in garages all over Katy, Brookshire, Fulshear, Cypress, and Richmond. It has worked through summer heat, cold mornings, and everything in between.
When I add up the original truck, the first van, and all the service vehicles that came after, we are probably closer to 700,000 miles of appliance repair driving. Today we have five vans and a truck running daily calls and another truck dedicated to running parts. We also now have six full time technicians and two customer service reps helping get customers scheduled quickly.
None of this happened on our own. We could not have grown like this without our customers. So many of you have recommended us to friends, neighbors, and family. That support has allowed us to keep growing, keep improving, and keep showing up when appliances break. We are very thankful for that.
From day one, our goal has been simple. Help customers get their appliances repaired as quickly and fairly as possible. That part will not change.
